Plywood
At Bernardi Building Supply, we supply all types of plywood for use in the construction industry. We have fine plywood panels made of hardwood perfect for engineered hardwood flooring. Our hardwood plywood panels come in different grades, moisture rating, fire rating, veneer species, core types, as well as No-Added Urea Formaldehyde (NAUF). The different plywood core types include:
- Veneer Core: These products are made from core panels (MDF, particle board, or wood) glued inside thin wood slices. The thin slices (veneer sheets or flitches) are glued to the core panel at a right angle to adjacent layers for maximum strength.
- PBC (Particleboard Core): This is an expensive hardwood plywood core option, giving you a void-free, smooth surface for veneer faces. However, it is not as strong as the other core options.
- MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) Core: This is similar to PBC, but it has smaller and more uniform particles for better stability.
Hardwood plywood can be used for commercial fixtures, fine furniture, architectural millwork, and high-end cabinetry, among other uses.
