White Rigid Foamboard Insulation

The three basic foamboard insulation products on the market today are made of polyurethane, polystyrene, and polyisocyanurate. Polyurethane, alongside polyisocyanurate, are closed-cell foams. They have the highest R value of between R 7.0 and R 8.0 per inch of thickness and are characterized by low-conductivity gases in the cells (usually a hydrocarbon). CFC and HCFC gases have high thermal resistance, hence a high R-Value and have traditionally been used, but they deplete the environment and we don’t stock products that use them. Polyurethane foamboard and its foil facing is the perfect insulation board where radiant heat is involved.

Note that our rigid board insulation is not meant to insulate existing homes, but rather in new constructions. They give maximum energy efficiency. Our white foamboard insulation is ideal for unvented roofs and unfinished walls. It is available as a foam panel that can be cut and comes in various thicknesses and widths.
